Posted March 07, 2019 04:13:10A gymnastick, a former gymnast who worked at the USATF, has been accused of sexual assault.
The accusation against the 34-year-old former Olympic medalist is the latest in a string of allegations against the former world champion in recent months.
He is currently facing trial in Minnesota over an alleged assault that took place in the winter of 2017.
Sheena Williams, who is the wife of former Olympic gymnast Michael Williams, filed a lawsuit against him on March 6.
Her attorney, James Ritchie, said in a statement:”Sheena is disgusted by this report.
She has spoken to the judge and he has asked her to meet with the defendant on Wednesday, March 11, at 9:30 a.m.
He has also provided an affidavit of support to her and she is seeking an immediate court order to prevent her from seeing him for another three months.”
She has been granted a temporary restraining order and will be allowed to attend a psychologist on March 7, according to Ritchie.
According to a press release issued by the Minneapolis-St. Paul Police Department, the former Olympian has been charged with rape.
Williams is scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday.
The Olympian was not immediately available for comment.
